Time Capsule Sharing / Partioning ?

So,

My TC was clicking along nice making backups and such for the past 8 months.

Then I needed to share a file on it across the network.

So, I went into airport utility and the disk tab and selected enable file sharing and created an account.

Which worked.

However, I now cannot see my old backups and other data that was on the TC.

I think it is still there as the TC says 1.64G avail...implying that .36G is used for all of the old backups and such.

Q-- how do i get to this old data? i.e. the .36G

--I have tried creating different accounts to find it.

Ideas??

Time Capsule 802.11n (4th Gen), Mac OS X (10.7.3)

When you created a user, assuming you used the option for separate user access, a warning message should have come up that it would block your access to existing files. Did you see this message and ignore it?

The way to get access is easy.. reset the TC to factory and do not use separate user access. It is unnecessary.. simply turn on the guest account to read and write access.

Are you using 5.6 airport utility?

I'll give 5.6 a go. I remember using 5.6, and updating to 6.0..I am new to Mac / Apple so I had no basis of comparision at the time.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that the reset worked..All my files were there. There were 2 sparse files that confused Time Machine..So I copied all of the other files off, and formated the TC. Everything is humming along nice now.

Thanks for the Help!
