Setting up new iPad 3 but previous iBooks not syncing?

Trying to sync iBooks not previously in my iPad 2 library because I took them out due to space. Now I have a new iPad 3 and want my books back. They show up in my iTunes library but did not sync. Am reorganizing the iTunes library. Any other ideas? I think they are a few set up before current iTunes and iCloud user name.

Thanks

You have to select them to sync in iTunes - put checkmarks next to the names of the books to select them in order for them to sync. If you have not done that already, do it and then sync again. You will have to click on apply in the lower right corner of iTunes if the books were not previously selected to sync.

Are you using the same Apple ID on the iPad that you used to purchase the books?

That may very well be the issue. You need to be using the same ID on the iPad that you used to purchase the books in order for the books to sync to the iPad. The books are always tied to the ID that was used to purchase them so if you are using a different ID on the iPad than what you bought the books with, they will not sync.

If you have multiple ID's, you can sign in and out of your accounts in Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap the ID that is showing and then tap sign out, then sign in with the other ID.
