iWeb is saying my password is incorrect when uploading.

I have been trying to upload a site using an ftp server. I am able to log into that server (fatcow) with the same password but for some reason iWeb keeps saying it's incorrect. I have tried it on a different computer as well since I am hosting another site off of my existing one. I have also tried uploading content from another site and it is saying their password is incorrect too. I'm not sure if this is a problem iWeb is having or not. I have checked for any updates and there aren't any. Please help!

Thanks for biting. Here's what happens:

I open iWeb (v. 3.0.4 / OS 10.7.4). Window comes up. In left sidebar I click on "site." I select "publish to ftp server." I enter what I think are the correct ftp server address, username, password, protocol (sftp), port, and website url. I click "Test Connection." Little progress window comes up and says password incorrect, try again.

To follow up. After talking with ITS services / host provider, it does seem confirmed that iWeb has trouble publishing to the ftp site AND creating an uploadable folder for use with another program like Cyberduck or Fugu, AND it messes up permissions in the process.

But let me double-check. When I make a wepage in iWeb and publish to a local folder, what exactly do I select in Cyberduck/Fugu to upload? The entire folder or a specific folder or file within it?
