I currently manage the deployment of 30 iPod touches and 30 iPads in my school. I'm using the standard method of creating a 'master' backup and restoring this backup to the other devices in succession. I was wondering if there was a way to automate the process of beginning each 'restore from backup' for all the devices plugged in at a time? At themoment, I click each one individually and choose restore, one at a time. I'm aware that apple released an App for just such a purpose (Apple Configurator) but it only runs on 10.7+ and my work station is running 10.6.8.

Is there any way to do what Apple Configurator does on Snow leopard?
