I used to be ME, then a few days ago I upgraded to OSX Lion, and now my Apple TV wants me to do something to it, like "Reset or Restore"

I just upgraded to Lion, now Apple TV wants me to restore or reset. Which way do I go any why

Just upgrading to Lion should not have affected AppleTV unless you did a fresh install on a wiped or new drive.


Ensure HomeSharing enabled in iTunes.


If Appletv suggests a reset go to settings and look for reset there.


If you see an icon with an iTunes connection it needs a factory restore using a USB to microUSB lead to connect to a computer with iTunes. No power lead needed.


Always worth un powering AppleTV and restarting if it plays up before doing anything else.
