Q: mag safe interchangebility

I need to charge my MacBook Pro and I forgot my Magsafe (85W). Is it possible to use the Magsafe 45W of a near MacBook Air to do so without injury?

iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.3.3

It not recommended. You can use one of a higher wattage but not lower. See the Apple article:

It might provide enough juice to charge your MBP, but it'll be slow, especially after the first 50% charge. I don't think there's enough power to both charge and run the laptop.
