Aperture seems to recognize tje Nikon D800 RAW format but not the D800E. Could someone help?
Photoshop recognize it, Nikon capture as well. I rather use Aperture.

You will need to wait and see if Apple adds support.
Aperture and iPhoto both rely on the 'Digital Camera RAW Compatibility' updates to read the files. 😉
Try if the free Adobe dng-converter can read the images: see here http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/16064/adobe-dng-converter
Shoot jpeg+raw till Apple adds support for your camera and use the jpegs while you are waiting. The list of supported cameras is here:

I'll be waiting and use some of the RAW converters in the mean time.
Converted in .tiff, the pictures are quite heavy! More than 275 Mb per picture!
