Problems with downloaded iTunes audiobook

A couple of weeks ago, I downloaded an audio book from iTunes onto my iPad. It is a long book, and I have been listening to it over the last couple of weeks. The other day, the audio on the book suddenly ended, while the book keeps playing. I deleted it, and downloaded the book again, but the audio ends at precisely the same place.

Any thoughts on what I can do?
