It seems to me you need to reinstall iWork. Have you got the disc with iWork?

    • Do you mean you bought your Mac from Apple's online Store? If so, Apple will have provided a DVD which includes all the software that came on your Mac. If you insert the appropriate DVD you will find an iWork Installer on it.
    • Do you mean you bought iWork from the Mac App Store? If so, just delete your iWork apps, go to the App Store, click the Purchases icon in the toolbar and then the Install button. See Mac App Store: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), If I have already downloaded an app from the Mac App Store, can I redownload it for free?

When did you buy the Mac? You have to be more specific in your information.

Didn't you get any discs with your Mac?

If you bought your Mac with the iWork installed from the Apple Store (not App Store) you might get help from the Apple store.

Thanks guys, i bought it from the online store- it was a refurbished (1 week old return) and they replace the heard drive and reload everything so essentiall its new as and a little cheaper. I will have a look but really do no think it cam with a disc at all. I am going to make a genius appointment- they are great here in perth- but wanted to try this first

I hope the "genius" can help. Otherwise if you didn't get Pages with the computer but you downloaded it from the AppStore I think you have to first uninstall Pages and then install it again.

Even a refurbished Mac comes with its original software on a DVD. By all means have a chat to a Genius at the Perth store but double check the packaging your Mac came with. There will be a DVD in amongst the materials.

Having said that, iWork is sold separately on newer model Macs. Did you buy iWork separately but at the same time as your Mac?

The Perth store will help you and walk you through fixing it, but the refurbished Macbook Pro would have come in full packaging and there would have been 2 DVDs in a silver colored sleeve. The 2nd DVD is the one that has installers for software.

    Hello Peter

I never saw iWork available in one of the two install DVDs delivered with a mac.

Given the displayed warning, I guess that the users copied the iWork applications from an other machine but failed to copy the folder storing the required shared files :

    Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:iWork '09:

If I am right, it would be required to

    download the trial version,

    install it

apply the required updaters (9.0.5 or 9.1)

then run one of the applications.

A registration code will be asked.

I just discovered from a clean install of Lion that the demo is on the 2nd Installer DVD.

It looks like you have to reinstall iWork.  iWork doesn't come preinstalled on your mac unless you bought it separately.  In this case you would have gotten the discs in the package.  Should say iWork on them.  If you bought iWork from the Mac App Store then just drag the apps to to the trash and reinstall them throught the mac app store.  If you haven't done either, (bought disc, bought on macappstore)  then you will have to buy a new copy of the apps through the app store.  <== Best Option.
