Select all in Camera roll?
This is either a silly question or a huge oversight in functionality...
How the heck do you select multiple photos in iPad Photos app (e.g. all contents in Camera Roll) for deletion?

Thank you for taking the time to explain. The suggestion to "batch select" is almost the solution — it's certainly helpful to know that it takes TWO FINGERS to carefully tap onto one smallish icon, maybe blocking the view of the blue checkmark, then dragging across each and every icon. Not tap-release. Not tap-drag. But two-finger tap-DELAY-drag.
So this is the better explanation. It's almost as convenient as some type of select all command, and it'll have to do.
It's always good to read right, including the subject title. 😉
So in other words, it's not possible to select all. I have to delete them one by one. You could have just said that.
Thanks for making me read your other discussion though. It was almost satisfying.
It is possible to select all, but in a slightly different way, so you have not read aright. See the second last link in Texas Tom's reply. Step by step instructions just for you despite what you said - open Camera Roll, click on the out-pointing arrow, with two fingers press down on the first photo, the red Delete button will highlight, keep the two fingers pressed and move across, down, backward, down, forward etc etc until you select all. Ceheck marks will be added to all the photos. Now click on Delete!
You are welcome. As to the subject title and, indeed, the body text, many interpret things differently! We also often find a contradiction between the subject heading and the body text. Indeed, we sometimes find that the original post bears no resemblance to what the real problem is. Anyway, glad to have been of help.
We are indeed very proud regardless. I suppose that's a good thing.
Not exactly sure what you mean (here we go again). Most of us have very little to be proud of!
Maybe you need to study more English to understand what you wrote. No offense intended.
