If I follow this, my phone says it will erase all content from my phone??

If trying to sync or manually manage iTunes content with more than one computer, that's exactly what will happen, all iTunes content will first be erased from your phone. This is a design feature of the iPhone, it will sync or manually manage iTunes content with one computer at a time.

Manual Mode

If you want to keep the music library on your device, but copy songs or playlists from the music library on the second computer, click Cancel when the dialog box appears, and then set your device to manual mode.
