cd is stocked in the slot

the cd is stocked inside the cd slot. cd is also not read in the finder.

how can i eject the cd?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2), cd slot

Depending on the revision of your MacBook Pro, you should have an eject key on your keyboard - typically above the Delete key.


If that fails, you can try diskutil unmountdisk in Terminal.app, but this might not work if the OS doesn't recognize the disk at all.


Failing that, reboot your machine while holding the mouse/trackpad button. This will force-eject any disk in the drive.
