i need to re install 10.4.5 install disk 2, which i cannot find. having already started with the first disk and unable to get any further what should i do?

That second Disc thing happens frequently, the best way around it is to start over & do a Custom install, and eliminate enough Printer Drivers, Languages, Fonts, and Applications you don't need... then it may skip #2 altogether.

But, if you call AppleCare with your Mac's Serial# handy, they may be able to supply replacement Discs.
Thanks for the help, but this didnt work. i am trying to reserect an old MacBook Pro which has long since run out of cover out of cover, if nothing else works i have a big shiny door stop.
At what point did it fail? Did it still ask for Disc #2?
yes it is still asking for the second disk i am now trying to reinstal from time machine, wich did fail the first time and left it restarting over and over again...
