CalDAV Password Frustration

For the past month, a dialogue box has been constantly popping up on my iPhone asking me to enter a password for my CalDAV app. I don't have a such an app on my iPhone, at least that I'm aware of. I looked up "CalDAV" and determined it has something to do with calendars, but I still can't figure out why I'm being asked for a password. Can I just delete this CalDAV app?

In Settings, select the Mail, Contact, Calendars section. From there, at the very top is Accounts. I have several accounts listed here. For each of these accounts, there are options for mail, calendars, contacts, notes, etc... Look in these and turn off the calendar under each account you don't want to use. The CalDAV info is under a Google account (separate from my gmail account on my iPhone) so I would be sure to turn off calendars under your gmail and under Google in this area if you do not want to use it.

Thanks for the response Tim. Unfortunately, I have no recollection of signing up for google calendar or any other google service, and I've not changed my password to any account in years. This may be unwise from a security standpoint but it keeps situations like this rather simple. Do you (or anyone else) have any advice for trying to determine what I have inadvertantly subscribed too? I looked in my settings under calendar but see nothing that is different or unusual.
