My iPod 5G (A1136) is stuck on the "ok to disconnect screen"

My iPod 5G (A1136) froze and I reset it and it was stuck on discovery mode. I repaired the disk with disk utility and it is now recognized in iTunes on my Mac. When I eject my iPod 5G, from iTunes, the screen stays stuck on "ok to disconnect".


I heard to drain the battery and that might help. Does anybody have any sucessful advice? Thanks!
