why i cant activate my iphone

Are you using the same carrier's SIM that it originally came with?

Have you recently updated the iOS or performed a restore?

i heard your problem and i had one similar to it.

• i got a new ipod,
• i plugged it in with a chord from a dollar store,
• i was completely frusterated that the laptop would not recognize it.
• after about a day, i changed the chord and...
• the thing that told you to activate your ipod came up on itunes

if the thing popped up and your iphone wont load... than i dont know what to say.

i attached my iphone 3g to update version from 3.0 to 4.2.............firstly i downloaded dat and them made it to update..........backing up started and then restoring.............but then itune shows dat only compatible sim cards can b used from supported carriers may be used to activate iphone.

Well I'm having the same problem. Itunes is saying "no sim inserted" I have used different sim cards and neither would work. I know the sim cards are good cause I have tried them in another iphone. Any advice??

Hi there I can't get my sim to be recognised.by aple phone. Phone registered and carrier sim with orange loaded after phone registered with Itunes. called the technical at orange and they can't help and say call apple to troubleshoot great as office hours only Ha ha. So I have registered sim in cyberspaceaccording to orange and itunes saying thanksfor registering..but no phone great.. Iet you know how apple tech on phone goes..
