How good is 3.4ghz quad core i7 with 8gb ram and 2gb graphics

Is an imac 3.4ghz quad core i7 with 8gb ram and 2 gb graphics enough for downloading high quality movies plus playing them, games (fifa 12, assasins creed etc), bootcamp and how well would it run by multitasking for ex a game and music with a movie just on pause? Also if i have roughly a 1tb filled will it slow down dramatically? As i want to transfer alot of stuff onto this computer

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

For gaming, focus on the video card. That will boost your performance, the processor also helps. It looks like you're getting the ATI 6970 2GB. Excellent choice. Look at some benchmarks and see how much it blows the 6770 away (400+% with the 6570, quite staggering). The investment is worth it if you're running high end games like Crysis via bootcamp. Unless you just want a Mac, you may find it economically wiser to build a multimedia PC.

As Barry said, I try to keep about 20-25% of the HDD free. You may want to upgrade, or just save files on an external drive.
