will a non apple mac keyboard and mouse work with a mac mini

hi i am going to buy a mac mini next week and will a windows keyboard and mouse work with it it is my frst mac

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1

I am using a Dell Blutooth keyboard and mouse, and my new mac mini wont let me start up until I turn on my mac keyboard. It keeps showing an image on the screen of how to start it. Any advice?

PS I dont have a mac keyboard and mouse..to clarify

Yes, most any USB Keyboard and Mouse will work just fine. On windows keyboards the alt & command keys are reversed and there is some minor key function loss, but all in all they get the job done.

I'm using a very inexpensive USB Logitech MK 120 Keyboard & Mouse Combo with my 2010 Mac Mini. > Logitech - Keyboard & Mouse Combos
