the sound has stopped working on i-tunes audio and video

i try to play songs or videos but there is no sound

iPod classic, Windows 7

Try repair your QuickTime,

Control Panel > Programs n features > highlight Quicktime n click CHANGE then REPAIR

I tried this but it did not repair the sound. Ugg. Any other suggestions?
