Q: My mac was stolen, and as I was going through my icloud preferences I found information on finding my stolen MBP. Apparently it has been wipe and has been renamed "A". Can I go to the police, or do I just wait indefinitly?

FYI - this is the second time I have had a MBP stolen; and I absolutely wouldn't advise lojack. It's a rip off and I had it, and it didn't really work.

Of course you can go to the police. Report it stolen and include its serial number.

If and when it is recovered its ownership can be determined.
