Q: What if cellular data is not visible at all on Settings..

Cellular Data is not an option on Settings on my iPad. I would like to add this service to supplement wi fi. Any thoughts on how to proceed? Thanks.

    Things which don't appear usually indicate an option not selected or not present. If 'Cellular Data' doesn't appear in the left-hand column of the Settings page then one very obvious explanation might be that you are holding onto a wifi-only iPad model.

     

    I'm not sure what a missing or poorly seated SIM card might result in, but would expect that the data field would at least still be present with perhaps some other messages appearing to report on that condition.

    Your iPad is Wi-Fi only, yes? Adding Cellular is not an option. You need to have purchased a Wi-Fi plus cellular iPad to have both capabilities. Upgrading a Wi-Fi only iPad is not possible.
