How to get individual pics by splitting Slideshow ?

I made a slideshow of 30 pictures (with music) in iPhoto or Aperture (posted to my Gallery). Somehow the individual pictures are missing (deleted?).

Is there a way to re-capture each of the pictures in the slideshow into separate images? (in either Aperture (my preference) or iPhoto)?

Hallo, pwwwayne,

I am not quite sure about what you want to ask:

Somehow the individual pictures are missing (deleted?).

Are the images missing in Aperture and iPhoto, or are they missing in your Slideshow in the Gallery?

Is there a way to re-capture each of the pictures in the slideshow into separate images? (in either Aperture (my preference) or iPhoto)?

Do you want to download images from the Slideshow in your webgallery?

Yes the individual pictures from which I constructed the slide show are missing/"gone" (from "everywhere"). The slideshow is intact (I re-downloaded it from my Gallery) and I imported it into Aperture where it resides as intact slideshow. The individual images are missing from both Aperture and iPhoto.

How can I "extract" the individual images from the slideshow.

I hope this helps clarify. Thank you for reply.

Hello pwwwayne,

yes, I think now I get what you want to do.

Am I correct to assume that you rendered and published your slideshow as a movie, not as an album of separate images, and now need to extract the images from the movie?

User uploaded file

Then do the following:

  • select the video in the project and click it to show the video controls.
  • Advance it to one of the images/frames you want to extract.
  • Click the cogwheel and select "New JPEG from frame": This will place a jpeg of the currently viewed frame into project containing the slideshow.

The quality of the jpegs will not be very high, unless you rendered a very high quality video.

Good Luck

Léonie

P.S. If you have Quicktime 7 installed, you can extract the images by opening the video in Quicktime 7 and exporting it as "Movie to image Sequence". This way you can extract all images at once and save them to a folder. In the "Advanced" options you can set how many images per second you want to export.
