Post your question in the right forum: iLife > iPhoto
It's in the right forum because I am using iPad !

Restart iPhoto for iOS.
Go to the Home screen and click on the Home button twice to display the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on iPhoto until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal.
Restart iPhoto and let the photo library rebuild. Is the edited photo still there?
yes 😟
I have solved it !
You have to revert the picture in the album to original then delete the photo and will automitcally empty the album
Thanks for posting the solution to this problem. Reverting to the original was not that intuitive.
There is a bug also when you apply a caption to a photo it will remain as "Edited" even after clearing the caption. In this case there is no option to revert the photograph and you may continue to see the "Edited" album until either deleting the iPhoto app and reinstalling to reset the data or till Apple updates the app and possibly fixes this bug.
It seems to occur if you open the keypad to add a caption, even if you never type anything in for the caption. I can't revert, and I can't delete.
You are correct. There was an update for iPhoto (v1.0.1) released today but unfortunately this bug is still present.
