problem: download final cut pro x demo

Trash it and try downloading again.

I am having the same prooblem. I get a 30 or 15 kb file that the computer does not reconize. Any thoughts?

I'm getting the exact same issue: the download is a 15 byte file, won't open. I'm pretty sure it's an issue on Apple's end.

It could be but there is nobody here from Apple so you would need to contact them somehow.

Any idea how to contact them?

Had the same problem. I discovered it was my version of Safari. When I tried the download in Firefox instead, it downloaded properly. So try a different browser or reinstall Safari. Hope that helps.

I tried with Google Chrome and I got a "Page not found" instead the message "Your download will start..." (Safari). Debugging the page I discovered that it tries to connect to the URL: https://swdlp.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/SoftwareDownloadApp.woa/wa/getProduct Data?localang=it_it&grp_code=finalcuttrial

That it reidirects to:

http://appldnld.apple.com/Final_Cut_Pro_X/041-2573.20120130.C23E4/FinalCutTrial1 0.0.3.dmg

That seems not to be exist! 😕

Browser is not the problem here. The link is broken, so you can't download the 10.0.4 trial regardless of what browser you're using. I spoke with Apple tech support a few minutes ago, they are aware of the problem and told me to try downloading at a later time.

From another post, seems like this problem has been going on since early April. I have also tried with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome with no success.

I just spent another 30 minutes on a phone with Apple tech support regarding this issue. They said that most likely it won't be fixed for another two to three days.

Use Safari. It will not download in Firefox.
