I was wearing my ipod in a race and it stopped playing. I realized that I had been sweating and the ipod had been clipped to the neck of my shirt where I had been sweating. Now, it won't play and it won't sync. Can it be fixed?

I had this same exact thing happen last week to mine, you would think they would be a little somewhat sweat proof given the design is small and includes the clip, where else can you clip it too??? Hope somone recommends a fix..
I ended up buying the 4th generation iPod Shuffle for $49.00. It would have cost that much to fix the one I had. The new one is even smaller than the 2nd. generation iPod. I think it will hang on to my sleeve and be safe there.
My ipod shuffle will not charge or sync.
