Media Widget
Does anyone have difficulties adding video files to the media widget?
I used Compressor, Quicktime eto export to .m4v files. I also used other video converter. None worked.
Any ideas?
Thanks Christoph

A number of people have had problems using Quicktime to create video that works with IBA. I'd recommend to use iMovie and export to iPad format. The videos generated that way work.
Michi.

Thanks for your quick response Michi. I tried iMovie and exported to .m4v from there but still not working. iMovie also uses QT for export, hence same outcome as using QT directly. I would have thought that at least Apple Pro Apps like Compressor must work since apple states in its How to to use Compressor or QT.
Interesting. I used iMovie and selected "File -> Export", selecting iPad as the target, without any problems. There are people here who reported that old codecs can interfere with Quicktime export and cause problems with videos for IBA.
See this thread. That might help.
Michi.
Thanks! I followed that threat and deleted one old component in QT, which was from 2006. All others are from 2011. No change. I posted on the other thread as well.
I found 2 libraries, root folder and within system, and emptied both quicktime folders. now it works. Thanks a lot!
