Matched song downloading as MP3 instead of AAC?

I have a song in my library which was not available in the iTunes store when I matched it. Now that it is available, I deleted it and re downloaded it. However, I still got the MP3 version instead of the AAC version. I even deleted it from iCloud, added and matched again. Still I am getting MP3 version 😟. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
