I have a printer connected to a mac-mini. I have a macbook, on our wi-fi network. which I have printed from. Now it keeps telling me the printer is not connected, but, I can print from the mac-mini. What am I missing?

Hard to say exactly how or what changed, perhaps it was an update or someone mucking around in the Sharing Preference...?
Go to > Mac 101: Printing (OS X Lion) and start by checking the Sharing setup for both the Mini and the MacBook Pro.
You've probably checked settings in Print & Fax.
Thanks for the reply. I have checked both machines & sharing is enabled. The macbook, shows "printer idle" or "Printer in use", but when I try to print, the message changes to "printer not connected".
Being a recent convert to Apple, I am on a steep learnin curve. I wonder if it may be to do with the network?

It seems that the Mac can see the printer but I wonder if the
reverse is true. Is there a Setup console on the printer where
you can select the wireless network? Sometimes there's a
downloadable setup wizard as part of the bundle of driver and
documentation items; running that can complete the wireless
connectivity drill.

Thanks Tom. Your suggestion got me going through,everything to do with the printer, sharing and networking.
The problem was one of my making. I have 2 wireless networks running here, and each machine was on a different one.
