That is correct, it's not supposed to. It is supposed to keep the iCloud caledar correct however.
I am referring to the icloud calendar. It was working very well but is not making changes and keeping it updated with my iphone.
Where are you entering the data in Outlook, the Personal Folder calendar or the iCloud calendar? do you even have an iCloud calendar in Outlook?
I have an icloud calendar in outlook and I add data on my iphone to be transfer to outlook but it stopped working.
Put an event on the iCloud calendar at www.icloud.com, go to your iPhone and see if it is there, open Outlook, go to the iCloud calendar (it does not appear on Outlook Today), see if it is there, post back.
I rebooted my computer and posted on icloud.com, it is on my phone, not outlook.
Went to control panel, opened icloud, checked calendar to apply, closed outlook, checked update all calendars get error message
"Your setup couldn't be started because of an unexpected error."
The icloud update is not on outlook now.
Try signing out of iCloud on your PC, and if that doesn't change anything try uninstalling iCloud from the PC, then reinstall.
Done as you said, uninstalled, reinstalled, icloud in control panel, checked calendar, install all calendars ...same error message and no results still can't see the update icloud on outlook.
When I try to sign out in the controll panel it just locks up.
This is from another post, but seems similar:
1. Uninstalled iCloud - Windows Control Panel. (if it asks you to sign out first it would get stuck) I went into task manager to close it out. An uninstall again would not work so had to reboot. Second time I told it to uninstall without signing out first. That worked.
2. Deleted the @me.com .pst file in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.
3. Downloaded iCloud Install for PC and run the exe.
4. The install opens the iCloud Control Panel. Sign in if not already, selected all options.
Contacts
Calendar
Bookmarks
Photo Stream
Told Bookmarks to Merge (only option) it did not create duplicates this time but once before it did. they are easy to delete.
Contacts and Calendar I told NOT to merge. Uncheck all the checkboxes. (Otherwise this will upload your outlook items again)
Sync worked, all my contacts, appointments, task, email are back in place.
Sounds good but I am unable to find this AppData location as discribed. I have windows 7, when I do C:\users\kathy it gives me options like backups, downloads, documents, etc. Even searching doesn't find it. I tried under Programs but can't even find outlook.
Just type the path, C:\Users\kathy\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.
This works to get me to the outlook folders but says that windows can't open them...I tried searching for the @ file but it can't find it...
Uninstall Office completely, reinstall it, back up first.
all of office? or just outlook?
