how do I restore my Ipod Nano 6th gen, apple logo won't show up on Ipod when I do a hard reset just a circle with a line through it.

When it shows up in Itunes it said I need to do a restore. When I do that an error 1439 comes up. it is stuck in recovery mode.

iPod nano (6th generation), Windows 7

Are you using the latest version of iTunes and have all the latest Windows updates and patches installed? It might not hurt to try plugging the iPod into a different USB port, preferably a high powered 2.0 one on the back of your PC.
