I have lost my ipad. What do I do to locate it?

You already know where it is. It is in your suitcase. You will have to wait for the airline to find your suitcase. They will notify you when they do. If they do not find your suitcase then make a claim with the airline. They are probably limited to the amount you'll recover though.
