Spotlight stops working
I have noticed a few times spotlight suddenly stopping to work. Usually a restart of the iPad fixes the problem. Anybody else noticing this issue ?

I have noticed a few times spotlight suddenly stopping to work. Usually a restart of the iPad fixes the problem. Anybody else noticing this issue ?

A Reset has fixed it in the past [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

I discovered that the problem lies in the mail app. For some reason it was stuck. Killing the mail app and starting it again brought spotlight back.
I found that somehow my Spotlight Prefs (Privacy) had been changed so that Spotlight would NOT search my hard drive. Now all is OK. I never changed anything, only thing I can think of is Software Update did it.
