Yes, one of my discussions that I created, was deleted. I received e-mail and it stated this:
"Apple removed your post titled, "Broken Intel iMac For Sale" because it contained the following:
Off-topic or non-technical posts
Rude or inappropriate language
Non-constructive rants or complaints"
My post was in reference to purchasing a broken iMac. Did i violate the "Off-topic or non-technical posts" rule? Or what, I guess I'm lost please help!
I am a moderator for Apple Support Communities. Your post was removed because you asked about purchasing a computer. This is a user-to-user forum, meant for asking and answering questions that other users can answer and your topic was decided to be non-technical.
I believe the that that post would be in violation of the off-topic or non-technical post rule. See

Stay on topic. Apple Support Communities is here to help people use Apple products and technologies more effectively.
from the Apple Support Communities Use Agreement
The community is intended to help other users not be a place to buy and sell used equipment.
If you still have questions I can alert a host and then it will be up to them whether they have further contact with you regarding this.

OK, sorry for that I didn't mean to cause any trouble. Is there any way you could e-mail me or set-up someone to e-mail me on the topic of becoming a Apple Support Communities Moderator? I'm here all the time, and I have never screwed anything up besides that last post. <E-mail Edited by Host>
Thank you very much! I now understand, I will not do that again!😉
It's actually a full time job to moderate these boards 🙂. Also, please don't post your e-mail address, or it will be picked up by spammers. I edited it for you. Thanks for your continued contributions to Apple Support Communities.
Oh, I see. No problem thank you so much for changing my email. I'm learning every second. Sorry to be a bother. Is there a website where I can apply? If not totally cool just thought I'd ask.
No problem. It can be difficult at times to know what is acceptable to post here and what is not. It does at times have the feel of a social networking site and we can loose site of the fact that it is primarily set up for technical support.
As for your interest in becoming a moderator. The moderators here or hosts as they are know are employees of Apple and not users. As a user you will gain certain privileges here as you answer questions and amass points. But there is no way to become a moderator here short of being hired by Apple.

As a Level 2, you now have the ability to report posts. That's about as close to a moderator as you can get. Reporting posts won't allow you to delete them, but it will draw the moderators' attention to it.
Is reporting anonymous?
The person you reported won't know who you are unless you tell them. The hosts will know upon receiving the message.
