iCal and iCloud in Lion-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Using MacBook Air iPad iMac iPhone
In iCal>Preferences>General what is set as your default Calendar?
Matt
I have my "work" calendar set as my default...
Is there a reason you want to maintain the local calander and not move it to iCloud?
Matt
I thought I had it set up so that they were all in iCloud, all of my calendars... How would I check? I don't mind moving everything there as long as I have the same functionality and as long as my assistant can see and make changes to my iCal. And as long as I don't lose anything...
It's a bit more involved than one would hope. If you do decide to move it, I'd use Method #1 here.

I assume your assistant sees you calendars becuase they are using your iCloud account?
