You have already rented this item

Strange issue. I rented a movie but before I watched it, my apple tv crashed and restarted. Now, the rented movie does not appear and when I go back to the movie, it says "you have already rented this item but it has not been downloaded. To download it, go to the Settings menu, select Downloads, and Check for Downloads."

Of course, when I go to the Settings menu, there is no Downloads menu. The closest I can find is in Settings/iTunes Store/Check For Rentals. When I do that, it just says "no additional rentals found". So, I am not sure that I was ever billed for the rental (as this only happened last night) but it appears I have no way to actually rent and watch the movie.

Thanks for any suggestions!

This worked for my Apple TV.

I didn't need to call Apple to reset the downalod queue for me as I reset the Apple TV by myself thru "Rest All Settings".

1. Settings

2. General

3. Reset

4. Reset All Settings

---- After Apple TV system reset and re-setup

5. Movies

---- You should see "Rented" at the top menu bar

6. Select your rented movie

Hope this helps.
