What router and broadband type do you have??

If it is cable did you turn the modem off if not you MUST do so to change routers?

Is the modem also a router.. if that is the case it might be such that the TC should be bridged.

You have not provided enough info to make any kind of proposal to fix it.

I have a cable modem wich is also a router.  Talked to the cable company and they changed settings so it will only work as a router.  I restarted it and still doesnt work. Keeps giving me a message I have to restart the modem. When in bridge mode i can connect to internet, when inrouter mode I can see the network butno internet

The cable company can change it to work as pure modem.. but they cannot change it to work as a router. Then you would have no internet.. I think you misunderstood what they were telling you.

If TC works in bridge mode, stick with that. Not every setup will allow the TC to be the main router.

Why do you need the routing handled by the TC?

But the usual setup is bridge the modem.. or at least turn off its NAT.

Power it down.. it might have to be powered off for 2min, 15min or several hours or even days unless the cable company can reset the connection.

Plug in the TC set to router mode to pick up the public IP address.

Unfortunately if the normal setup doesn't work, then the issue is between the cable company and their modem. When we have this issue here, people can order a pure modem from their ISP rather than a modem router, although the companies are increasingly difficult about this as I think they like to control the user end.

There are separate forums where people discuss how to bypass or shut off NAT in the various model cable modems.. we do not have enough info to help you further.
