How does one delete a podcast once one has listened to it?

I would like to be able to deleted podcasts I have downloaded and have listened to. Is this possible? I havent been able to find a 'delete' instruction anywhere, yet.

iPod touch (4th generation), Windows 7

Select it and hit the delete (backspace) key. You will be asked whether you want to leave it in the Library or move it to the Trash and you presumably want the latter.
