How to convert image colour space?

I need to covert some of my images from one colour space to another to prepare them for gallery quality art printing. Does anyone know any OS X Lion built in or free third party applications that can help me do that? No Photoshop please.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

I know it's not free, but Graphic Converter can do quite a lot of stuff like that and it will process files as a batch automatically.

The built-in ColorSync Utility may be able to do what you want. See its help.
