If you haven't installed any Canon software, open System Preferences> Print & Scan
Your printer should be listed and there should be two tabs across from it Print and Scan. Select the Scan tab and you should then have your scanning options shown.

...or you could try Image Capture located in your Applications folder.
Aha!! Scrap that, "Image capture" worked.
Thanks!
Hi I have a similar problem - I can print and scan from my IMAC - but can't scan to it from the Printer...I am wireless, and the scanner only lists the PC linked by USB as an option.
Any ideas how I can make the printer see the IMAC in its little screen?
Thanks, (i am new to IMACs...just set it up yesterday)
