How come my iPod Nano second generation wont charge and wont turn on?

Ok so I tried turning on my iPod Nano last week and it doesnt turn on and wont charge. I tried manual reset and the toggle hold method thing and neither worked. Its a Second generation and two gb. Please help? If you know what is wrong with it or somewhat have an idea, please answer(: Thanks
