Q: i bought my iphone second hand and it had been jailbreaked but it was removed, and error1015 is happening, why?

Basically, i bought a new iphone becasue my old one broke off a friend, and he had jailbreaked it, but he said he had removed this. Becasue i am lazy i tried to remove all his stuff on it uisng the clear iphone on settings and it crashed. i tried to restore it using what i was told by itunes with restoring the software, but it says there is error 1015 and i cant now get on it becasue it freezes when i turn it on, is there anything i can do to make it work normally, and will apple fix it for me if it doesnt work becasue the jailbreaking software has been removed?

cheers

You're witnessing first had what jailbreaking can do to a phone--it turns it into a brick that can never be fixed.

Not only does jailbreaking void any remaining warranty with Apple, but it forfeits your ability to any support from Apple including from this forum.  Discussion of jailbroken phones is strictly prohibited by the Terms of Use of this forum.

If you really purchased this from a "friend", your friend should refund your money and that phone is permanently hosed.
