A simple wway be to highlight and copy the photo in Keynote, then using the Preview application, do a command+n and save the copied photo as a jpeg, then import that file into iPhoto.
Thanks.
Opening preview, command + n is not highlighted.
From the FIle dropdown menu choose Export and select Image and then destination the desktop.
Drag the images in iPhoto.
I tried this. It transfers the entire slide. I'm hoping to get just the image.
very helpful. thanks
Maybe copy the image from the presentation, paste on your desktop, and the drag in?
open keynote <from drop down menu select share then export, click on images and select images you want to export and set destinantion. pics will be saved on given destination , you can use those images for how you want to use them 🙂
As Edward Escobarsuggested: using Preview:
In old versions of keynote, I believe that the files were Packages: right click 'View Package Contents' to find the original assets.
The only way that work is the method outlined by memelab and Edward Escobar.
But you don't have to import it into iphoto if ya dinnae want to.
Thanks memelab - it worked.
It was unnecessarily complex, but your directions were clear and it worked.
Thanks!
The simplest way to use imported images used in Keynote:
select the image on the slide
Inspector > Format > Image > File Info;
drag the file on to the desktop or a folder in Finder
go to next slide and repeat
Thanks so much, I've looked for this solution for years; it worked perfectly!
