App store

Why is it that recently when I've tried to download from the app store on my iPad 2 I'm asked to answer my password twice (not just once like I used to) and it asks me to select and answer additional security questions? I'm worried that somehow my iPad has been infected by a virus or hijacked somehow. I have my credit card info saved within my app store - so I haven't answered the questions. Should I remove my credit card info? Am I panicking for nothing? I'm new to Apple so bear with me and my paranoia.

Hi..

Apple has implemented new security measures to help prevent fraudulent purchases using an Apple ID. You need to be able to answer the security questions before making purchases.

It's ok to be a little paranoid about purchasing online. But you did the right thing by asking.

Changing your Apple ID password on a timely basis can help keep your password safe.
