Q: MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues Warranty!

I bought a used Mac book pro, and now i found this issue, http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377, that happened to me.

The technician told me that I need a extended warranty, but I don’t have one,

So, I need to get applecare Protection Plan or applecare+. if i get it can i fixed my computer at an apple authorized technical support?
