Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I recently updated my ipad to OS 5.1. And well, that process wiped out my entire ipad. I have tried syncing the device and have retrieved some of my apps, but not any of the ones I purchased within the ipad including in-app purchases. How do I get any of this back? I feel like I must contact apple to fix this.

Did you backup your iPad before updating? You could restore from a previous backup. Most of the apps that have in app purchases will have a "restore purchase" button that will give you back all your purchases. If it does not contact the developer they should be able to help you.
Thanks for your help. Apparently I have lost my in app purchases which is extremely frustrating.
I have 5 apple computers, and cannot keep track of which device i've synced my iphones or ipads to.
So i probably updated to OS 5 on a mac that wasn't the original syncing device... so a backup will restore it from nothing.
