how do i get word, excel and other office programs back?

after upgrading to Lion I can't open Word or Excel files. the error message says you can't open because Power PC applications are no longer supported. everything i do is in these 2 programs...

You will have to wipe the drive and reinstall Snow Leopard or upgrade to Office 2011 for Mac.

It's been 8 years now, update your copy of Office, use one of the free alternative softwares, or buy a copy of iWorks 09. Or, go back to Snow Leopard so that you can continue the use of your 8 year old software.
