Q: What is error code 1413 ---- I have had nothing but trouble with this I-Pod for 2 years now... Why can't it be repaired???

Why can't this I-Pod be repaired I've had nothing but trouble with it for 2 years now.... I've tried reprogramming, it says trouble code 1413 which you

do not list on your trouble sheet.... It used to not play from time to time, I reloaded the music and also have tried to reprogram many times but

nothing has worked.. It is a piece of crap as far as I'm concerned.... What are you putting out for people to purchase...

iPod classic, Windows XP

Are you using the latest version of iTunes and have all the latest Windows updates and patches installed on your XP system?

Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC?  Try disconnecting all other USB devices/peripherals (minus the mouse and keyboard) and then try to restore it again.

It wouldn't hurt to also try and use another 30 pin dock connector cable as well if you have one laying around or know of one you could borrow temporarily.
