The calendar on the ipad that I bought is in some unknown language. How can I change it to English?

Hi. Some apps only have one language so I would check the app summary in the app store. You could also delete the app and re download it to see if something changes.

The iPad Calendar app is part of iOS. It is not in the App store.

You won't see a description of it in the App store.
You must understand that the ipad itself is working fine in English as it was set up in the apple store at the Mall of America in Minnesotta. It is only the calendar app that came with it that is in some strange language. I went to the URL you have set out and did as instructed...the language was already set as English and the calendar is still in the unknown language. Please let me know if you need any clarifications.
It may help to know that when I purchased another calendar app called agenda in the hope that I would have an english language calendar to work with...that app too displayes in the same strange language which looks like Cyrillic text.
