sync services

I made a mistake by initiating Sync Services in Outlook 2011 and it sucked in all my iCal calendar events, many of which are basic reminders to stretch etc. I want to delete these from Outlook but I can't. I've stopped Sync Services in Outlook, deleted the cache for this and iCal cache and even tried to create a new Profile in Outlook, but the darned duped calendar events just won't go away. In Outlook 2011 I will receive about 6 reminders for every event, all at once. I just want to clear out the iCal events altogether.

Is this Sync Service issue within Outlook 2011 or is it a Mac issue? Regardless a solution would be very helpful.
