What does it mean when I get the message, "This content requires HDCP for playback"?

    It means your monitor/rgrahics card is NOT compliant with DRM (digital rights media) requirements.

     

    Therefore will not play the images.

     

    Typically your monitor should be connected via a suitable graphic card via HDMi or DVI and using a suitable cable.

     

    VGA will not work period.

     

    A test signal is sent to check that all components register compliance before transmitting the DRM encripted media.

     

    Any fall down and you get that message and the media fails to play.
